About the group
Three companies working out of one office in Thiruvananthapuram, covering the freight and the clearance on the same consignment.
One consignment, one group
Freight forwarding and customs brokerage are separate licences with separate liabilities, which is why most shippers end up dealing with two companies and a gap in the middle. When something is queried at the port, that gap is where the days go.
Classic India Group covers both. The forwarding is done by one company in the group and the clearance by another, but the desk is the same and the person you called about the booking already knows about the query.
The work concentrates on categories that need handling rather than just space: live and frozen seafood, dangerous goods, live animals, valuables and aircraft-on-ground spares. Those are also the categories where a general freight agent tends to say no.

Who runs it
K. Suresh Kumar has spent 35 years in cargo, working the same lanes out of the same city. He sits on the managing committee of the Air Cargo Agents Association of India, the national trade body for air cargo agents, which means the people setting the trade's positions know him by name.
For a shipper that matters less as a credential and more as a practical thing: when a consignment needs somebody to pick up a phone to a carrier or a terminal, the call gets taken.

The head office is in Thiruvananthapuram, a short drive from both Trivandrum International and Vizhinjam, with a branch at Kochi.
